So I can save on my pet’s prescriptions? How does that work?
- Download the mobile app or print out your card and take it to a participating pharmacy with your pet’s prescription from a veterinarian.
- Show your card to your pharmacist, who will find your Inside Rx price for your pet’s medication.
- Then pay and enjoy the savings, even celebrate with a treat for your pet!
Can I use the Inside Rx Pets card for all of my pets’ medications?
The Inside Rx Pets card can be used with valid prescriptions written and dispensed for animals by a veterinarian or other appropriately licensed care provider, at participating pharmacies that fill prescriptions for animals.
Just like with our human clients, the Inside Rx Pets card is not insurance and cannot be combined with any insurance benefit, copay assistance program or other third-party financial benefits.
What types of prescription drugs are covered with Inside Rx Pets?
Currently, the Inside Rx Pets card can be used to purchase many human medications prescribed to pets, such as antibiotics, antidepressants and drugs to treat diabetes and asthma. It cannot be used to purchase medications that are prescribed exclusively for animals, such as certain types of parasiticides or vaccines.
Where can I use Inside Rx Pets?
Ready for this? The Inside Rx Pets discount card is just like our human discount card and can be used at 60,000 participating retail pharmacies that fill prescriptions for pets.
How much will I save with Inside Rx?
On average, Pet Parents can save 15% on brand medications and 75% on generic medications. Actual savings will vary. That’s more money for treats!
I currently use an Inside Rx card to save money on my own prescriptions. Can I use that same card for my pets?
You wouldn’t use the same water dish as your pet would you? Pet parents will need to use the Inside Rx Pets card to fill a prescription for their pets. The Inside Rx Pets card is a different card from the card you use to fill your own prescriptions, or prescriptions for your other two-legged family members.
Are discounts for pet medications the same as for human medication prices?
Our featured brand medication pricing, available for certain brand medications, is only available in connection with the Inside Rx card for humans. If any of those medications are prescribed for your pet, you may still be able to save an average 15% off the cash price, but you would not be able to fill your prescription for your pet for the featured brand medication price.
