Benefit Summary
Even if you have employer-paid life insurance, it may not be enough for you and your family’s needs. Whole Life provides the continued protection you need during and after your working years into retirement. It helps alleviate financial stress by paying for final expenses such as medical bills or a funeral, includes an 80% Accelerated Death Benefit for Long-Term Care, and remains active even if you leave your job as long as you continue to pay the premium. It is coverage you own, and MetLife will never cancel your coverage, even if your health changes. Base rates are fixed from the time of purchase, and employees can enroll up to the Guaranteed Issue maximum with no medical questions during open enrollment or upon hire.
Long-Term Care Benefit
The Whole Life Plan pays out a portion of your benefit in advance if you:
- You become temporarily or permanently chronically ill and are receiving qualified long-term care services under a plan of care.
- You are diagnosed with a terminal illness.
